Description

The Department of the Navy (DON) is seeking authorized sources to provide annual subscriptions for continuing education and training. These subscriptions shall provide access to an existing authoritative online information resource for accounting and auditing courses and webcasts. CONTRACTING OFFICE ADDRESS: � CONTRACT MANAGEMENT DIVISION (CMD) 1000 NAVY PENTAGON ROOM 5E158 WASHINGTON, DC 20350 1.0 INTRODUCTION: This is a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine the availability and technical capability of firms of all sizes, both small and large businesses (including the following subsets - Small Disadvantaged Businesses; HUBZone Firms; Certified 8(a)s; Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses; and, Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required products and/or subscriptions. In accordance with the Department of Defense Instruction 1300.26, �Operation of the DoD Financial Management Certification Program�, Financial Management (FM) coded employees are required to complete the Department of Defense Financial Management Certification Program (DFMCP) within two (2) years of assignment, and to maintain continuing education requirements (up to 120 hours every two (2) years) as a condition of continued employment. The professional certification and continuing education requirements emphasize the certified public accountant concepts necessary to assist The OASN (FM&C) FM workforce in addressing the audit notice of findings involving systems, and will promote proficiency in all FM competencies.� The objective of this requirement is to obtain 24/7 access to a subscription service of comprehensive Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses and webcasts on various subjects within the accounting field and is a source of information that keeps the FM&C workforce current and knowledgeable in the most recent changes in accounting and auditing regulations. The selected contractor must be a member of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence and DoD approved Test-Based Certifications recommended for Certification Levels of the DoD FM Certification Program. �DISCLAIMER: THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.
