Description
SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Log Cabin Rehabilitation project for the Voyageurs National Park in northern Minnesota. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to replace or repair 90 feet of deteriorated logs and log crowns. Wood front steps, landing, and porch floor and subfloor will be replaced. An estimated 1000 square foot gable roof coverage to be replaced and any roof decking that is deteriorated will be repaired or replaced. The door will be repaired, and all window voids will receive custom replication window units. Trim wood members will be scraped and painted. The existing chimney on the exterior will be restored and internally re-supported. A portion of interior wood floor and subfloor will be replaced. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by July 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Koochiching County, MN will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238190, and the size standard is $16.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available mid/late May 2021 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/beta.SAM/FBO website at https://beta.sam.gov/search?index=opp . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
