- SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3,4 & 5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Renovate Sewer System project for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary for septic system upgrades at three (3) locations within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Sand Point HQ will include demo of the existing septic tanks & lift station including electrical components, abandoning the existing mound system, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. Miners Castle will include demo of the existing septic tanks, old overflow tank, & lift stations including electrical components, abandoning the existing mound system, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, gravity main, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. Sullivan�s Cabin will include demo of the existing septic tank and abandoning the existing drainfield, installation of a new septic tank, lift station, forcemain, electrical & alarm system, and mound disposal system. We anticipate that work would begin in late May/early June 2021. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $250,000 and $500,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by late July 2021 with performance to begin in August 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued and available mid/late May 2021 and will be posted to the Contract Opportunities/SAM website at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities . The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
