Description
The General Services Administration, Office of Human Resource Management (OHRM),) and the Public Buildings Service (PBS) Region 11 utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13), intends to make an award to Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, PA under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements in the amount of $27,000.00. This is a notice issued as required by FAR 5.203. GSA intends to award a sole source contract under the authority FAR 13.501(a)(1). GSA intends to solicit and award a sole source to Pennsylvania College of Technology for. to deliver a minimum of one course of Building Operator Certification Level I Training program, presented over a 8-week period, virtually. The training will be for up to twenty (20) GSA, PBS Facilities and Property Managers, Engineers, Building Operators and Project Managers.� This eight-week course series�teaches building operators to find practical, low-cost and no-cost efficiency solutions by working with existing systems. Independent research shows that Building Operator Certification (BOC) operators consistently�save energy and money�in their facilities,�thanks to energy conservation projects, air quality improvements and other initiatives. Plus, the savings are instant and continuous. BOC Level I�provides an overview of the building envelope and reviews the design, operation and maintenance of energy-using systems and equipment. BOC is the leading training and certification program for building engineers and maintenance personnel. Our graduates make their buildings more comfortable, efficient and environmentally friendly, thanks to skills they master in our classes. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 611430 - Professional and Management Development Training, with a business size standard of $12 million. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotes; however, all responsible and capable sources may submit statements of capabilities, which, if received within seven calendar days of publication of this notice, shall be considered by GSA. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. This notice does not restrict the Government in any way to an ultimate acquisition approach. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL AND IS NOT TO BE CONSIDERED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT.
