- This requirement is for the purchase of additional Dell Nutanix servers to existing cluster environment , these servers are already in place throughout DFAS and must be provided by the original equipment manufacturer or an authorized reseller. Dell Nutanix servers are available from multiple authorized resellers. DFAS has reached a critical compute resource capacity, and requires additional compute resources for expansion. Procurement of additional Nutanix platforms to add additional nodes to expand existing clusters for compute growth. Compute resource consumption at each of the DFAS sites has increased and we must add additional compute resources at these various sites to accommodate for present and future growth. Dell XC Core HW (hardware) nodes and Nutanix SW (software) are required as this is an expansion of an existing cluster and other Hardware vendors or Software platforms will not be compatible.
