- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWC-AD) intends to award a fixed price contract for fifteen (15) Repeatable Release Holdback Bars (RRHB) to release T-45 Aircraft during Catapult Launch shipboard operations along with fifty (50) Overhaul Kits and additional spare parts in support of CNATRA shipboard training programs. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment, Triumph Actuation Systems, LLC is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the RRHB and Overhaul Kits. As the OEM, Triumph Actuation Systems, LLC is the only qualified manufacturer and supplier of the RRHB and is the only known source that is capable of providing the RRHB and Overhaul Kits with the same form, fit and function that is compatible with the existing Catapult Launch configuration. As such, Triumph Actuation Systems is the only firm that possesses the necessary technical knowledge and proprietary source data with regard to design, operations, maintenance, and systems integration requirements necessary to produce the Government's requirements. The Navy does not possess a technical data package to permit the development of the required support/services by any other sources than the OEM. There are no planned future requirements for this item at this time. Therefore, this action will be an establishment of a sole source contract action to Triumph Actuation Systems, LLC, 2720 W Washington Ave Yakima, WA, 98903 (Cage Code 97415). NAWC-ADintends to award this order under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation will be available for this procurement.
