Description
1. ������� Introduction/Purpose The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of Receiver Protectors (ASR-9). The purpose of this announcement is to conduct a market survey to solicit statements of interest and capabilities from interested vendors in accordance with F0AA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.1.2.1.� This market survey will enable the FAA to review responses that are current and will assist with acquisition planning based on current data.� Responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. Radar Product Division currently provides logistics support to 135 ASR-9 field radar sites. The Receiver Protectors (RP) are used in the microwave section of the ASR-9 system, and it provides protection of the Receiver from high power RF energy from the Transmitter. 2.�������� National Stock Number(s) (NSNs) associated with this work is/are listed below 5960-01-520-3540 Electron Tube, PN: VDS1706 3. ������� Incumbent Contractor (if applicable) Incumbent contractor is Communication and Power Industries (CPI), SDS 12 1749, PO Box 86, Minneapolis, MN 55486-1749.� 4.� ������ Nature of Competition The nature of the competition and procurement method that will be conducted for this requirement has not yet been determined. The FAA will review the responses to this Market Survey and will make acquisition planning decisions based on market survey responses and the FAA�s needs. The FAA may decide to conduct a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA�s 8(a) Program. This market survey is to obtain information that is to be used by the FAA in choosing the method and type of procurement competition to be used to fulfill this requirement. The FAA requires copies of certification letters from interested service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB) or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses that are certified by the SBA for participation in the SBA�s 8(a) Program.� This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified firms. In order to make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: Capability Statement - This document should identify: Type of services provided by your firm, Size and type of services provided by previous contracts (elaborate and provide detailed information and past performance), Number of years in business. 5.�������� Standard Language (a)������� This is not a Screening Information Request or Request for Proposals of any kind; (b)������� The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals at this time; (c)������� The responses will be used to develop the source list for this requirement; (c)������� The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing the response to the market survey; and (d)������� Any costs associated with the market survey submittal is solely at the interested vendor�s expense. 6.�������� Regions of Performance MMAC, Oklahoma City, OK 7. ������� North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code NAICS Code 335999 � All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing, size standard 1,250 Employees Product Service Code � 5840 - RADAR EQUIPMENT, EXCEPT AIRBORNE 8.� ������ Submittal Requirements for Market Survey (a)������� Please respond by reviewing this market survey and the attached technical specification/drawing.
