DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS: PROCUREMENT OF APX MOTOROLA SOLUTION HANDHELD RADIOS FOR AIRFIELD SERVICES DIVISION. Part 1: General Information 1.1 Introduction This effort is for replace current handheld radios for Airfield Services (AFS) Ground Electronics division, at Naval Air Station (NAS), Kingsville Texas. 1.2 Background NAS Kingsville, Ground Electronics Division require the purchase of hand held radios. G.E personnel have no longer reliable radio to communicate when working in the airfield locations on NASK. The airfield has lack of radio signal since the older equipment that is not reliable. Handheld radios are required to ensure reliable communication between air traffic controllers and personnel conducting daily operations on the airfield. This communication is essential to performing day-to-day operations and is critical to personnel safety should an emergency occur. 1.3 Objective 1.4 Scope NAS Kingsville, Ground Electronics Division.
