Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation for bids, proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. The responses received from interested vendors will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), North Dallas VA Healthcare System is requesting procurement information for a Medical Concepts Shelving Carts. The Department of Veteran Affairs is in search of SDVOSB/VOSB organizations that are capable of servicing the Department of Veterans Affairs North Dallas VA Healthcare System need to procure the following Medical Concepts Shelving and Carts commercial equipment items: PURPOSE - The overall purpose is to deliver and install a complete High-Density Storage System at Dallas VA Medical Center. SCOPE - The Contractor shall design, provide items, deliver items, install, and test all items and equipment for the setup of a new rack storage system for the Dallas VA Medical Center in the Primary and OR Primary. All equipment and installation must meet Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and VA specifications. The Contractor shall furnish all supplies, equipment and services required for delivery, installation and any testing needed of the supplies and equipment. Color Coded Racks: Shall be constructed from 1 tubular, galvanized, powder-coated steel in color cream RAL #9001 or material of equal strength and durability. Rack units should be of the following dimensions. 25.6 D x 18.3 W x 77.6 H or 26.2 W x 17.6 D x 77.6 H. Shall have non-marking casters with a minimum diameter of 2.5"". Shall have Interconnect bottom support & solid plate to prevent mop splashes to lower supplies. Shall use support rails or telescopic slides capable of supporting heavy consumable medical supplies (e.g. bags of intravenous [IV] fluid). Some examples of acceptable materials may include injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) or ball bearing reinforced telescopic slides. Shall support bins of varying depths constructed of injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) with the dimensions of 40cm x 60cm. Bins shall be of open design to minimize dust collection or solid small items. A minimum of three bin heights is required with at least a 2.5 cm difference in height between each size (e.g. 5cm, 10cm, and 20cm). Bins must be machine washable able to withstand PH- neutral and slightly alkaline detergents and disinfectants. The bins must be heat resistance with a max continuous of 70C and max short term of 90C. The maximum load per bin is 40 kg. Shall include adjustable bin levels to maximize storage capacity with adjustments at 6.5 cm. Shall include only horizontal basket rails for maximizing storage capacity. The rails should be the type which allow for the baskets to be placed on an angle of 30 degree or more for easy access and enhanced viewing of supplies once the basket are extended out at full length. Permanently angled baskets are not acceptable as it does not allow for the maximization of storage space (see picture on the next page. include dividers in each bin which can be customized to various lengths. Shall include divider locks that lock into the bin to eliminate any divider movement. Shall include 2 bin stops to prevent a bin from falling when pulled out. Bin shall be modular and spacing easily adaptable to accommodate future inventory growth and/or item proliferation. Shall not require any special installation modifications that affect the structure of each supply room, including but not limited to special flooring, wall reinforcement, height of ceiling/clearance, and sprinkler code requirements. All open high-density storage must have a max height of 197.5 cm. Baskets must have ergonomic grip handles that will accommodate insertable color coded plastic strips. The handles should be constructed of injection molded acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and should fit securely across the front ledge (lip) of each basket and shall be easily gripped to assist in the movement of the basket in and out. The colored strips must be exchangeable with the Facility required colors, to be determined after award. (see picture below) Capability Statement Requirements: RESPONSES MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Company Name, Address, Size Standard, DUNS #, Cage Code Point of Contact name, phone number, and email address NAICS Code 531130 and Small Business Size Standard 500 employee MUST be assigned to company Commercial Medical Concepts Shelving and Carts Equipment Price List (your price list or the price list you intend to use) Capability Statement Specify the specific line items in which you intend to provide/install. If you will NOT be manufacturing the equipment, you MUST provide information on the manufacturer you intend to use, i.e. authorized distributor letter, etc. If you will NOT be performing the installation, you must provide a Letter of Intent from the business you intend to use (explaining their agreement with you to perform the installations according to the solicitation), along with references of their past Medical Concepts Shelving and Carts equipment installations. *NOTE Acquisitions will only be set aside for SDVOSBs/VOSBs if two or more responses are received with the required information listed above, by the due date specified below. Only SDVOSB and VOSB offerors are invited to respond to this Sources Sought Notice via email to danised.burt@va.gov, along with any other questions or concerns, no later than 06/22/2021. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. The Government will treat any information received as proprietary and will not share such information with other companies. Any organization responding to this Sources Sought Notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization's qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. The Government may or may not issue a solicitation as a result of this announcement. There is no solicitation available at this time.
