Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes and the Government will not pay for any information solicited. The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 6 Network Contracting Office (NCO) is conducting Market Research to find qualified Small Business and Veteran Own Small Business manufactures and distributors, registered under NAICS code 541512; with size standard of $30M, capable of delivery a 3D Printer to the Richmond VAMC.  This requirement will consist of one brand name or equal to X7 Onyx 3D printer. Salient Characteristics: The system shall have the ability to produce composite parts meeting or exceeding 700MPA tensile strength. Must have the capability to do Continuous Filament The system shall offer these continuous fibers: Carbon Fiber, Kevlar, Fiberglass and High Strength, High Temperature Fiberglass. Must have a physical footprint no larger than 24 (width) x 24 (depth). Must have the ability to print break-away supports that do not require a separate wash station process. The system shall have built in laser micrometer calibration to ensure repeatability across builds. The system shall run on a unibody chassis to ensure print stability.  All interested parties shall respond, in writing via email to gordon.burns@va.gov no later than 1pm EST June 16, 2021. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. In response, please include the following: -Company/individual name, -Address, -Point of contact with phone number -Information describing your interest, -Indicate FSS/GSA contract number or Open Market, as applicable -FSS Category you qualify for -Tax ID number -DUNS number -Capabilities statement -Company Socio-Economic SIZE (example large, small, SDVOSB, VOSB, WOSB etc.) This requirement may be subject to the non-manufacturer rule. If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor shall provide a letter from the large or small business manufacturer stating that they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a) Prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications at the System for Award Management (SAM) as a part of required registration in conjunction with FAR 4.1102(a) that states, Prospective contractors shall be registered in the (SAM) database prior to award of a contract or agreement. Therefore, due to time constraints, vendors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov to be considered for an award.
