Description
The Embassy of the United States of America requires construction services for American Center Nairobi Office Space Renovations. Advertisement for Traditional Construction Contract The Embassy has a requirement for a firm to construct/renovate an existing office building.� This construction effort is estimated at between $250,000 and $500,000 and needs to be completed by December 31, 2021, in Nairobi, Kenya.� This work requires office space renovations for the American Center Nairobi, per approved design specifications and materials to be provided with the solicitation. All firms that respond to the solicitation must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the work.� At a minimum, each offeror must meet the following requirements when submitting their proposal: Be able to understand written and spoken English; Have an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing; Have the necessary personnel, equipment and financial resources available to perform the work; Have all licenses and permits required by local law; Meet all local insurance requirements; Have the ability to obtain a performance and guarantee bond and a payment bond, or to post adequate performance security, such as irrevocable letters of credit or guarantees issued by a reputable financial institution; Have no adverse criminal record; Have no political or business affiliation which could be considered contrary to the interests of the United States; Have good experience and past performance records; and, Identify specialized experience and technical competence required to complete the construction work in accordance with this solicitation. This entails specialized experience and technical competence in mechanical and electrical Building Systems � i.e. Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Building Automation System (BAS), Fire Protection and Alarm Systems, Power and Lighting Systems, etc. If a firm is interested in competing for this requirement, please provide a written request for a copy of the solicitation documents to the U.S. Embassy, Nairobi. nairobigso-contracts@state.gov.� The government is planning a virtual pre-solicitation conference and site visit on June �22, 2021 at 10:30am East African Time. Details to participate in this conference will be availed to interested offerors. Participants will submit requests for access to the conference by sending an email to nairobigso-contracts@state.gov . This request should be received no later than June 17, 2021 4 p.m.
