- AMENDMENT 6/11/2021 This is not a follow on project. Neither the Base Year CLIN 0005 or 0006 will be serviced or quoted. Each year there are two CLINs 0007 & 0008, 1007 & 1008, 2007 & 2008, 3007 & 3008, 4007 & 4008 have and auto sum filled in. This same amount is added to all quotes. Do to information update, quote date is extended to be due 6/16/2021 4pm mst AMENDMENT 5/26/2021 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: QUESTION: Type of structure requested � There are three options for the metal storage structure. Each general option has both a different time requirements and cost associated with that election. Is the NWS requesting a (1) premanufactured red iron building; (2) tubular steel with metal trusses or (3) wooden framing with metal skin?�ANSWER: Option�1 and 2 are acceptable.� Option 3 is not acceptable QUESTION: Are there any plans or drawings for this project?�ANSWER: No QUESTION: Can you provide some clarification on the interior of the insulated building? Will the walls or ceiling require finishing in sheet rock, paint etc.? What type of insulation is being requested? �ANSWER:�No the walls and ceiling don�t require sheetrock or finishing.� Standard metal building faced blanket insulation no lower than R-7 rating. QUESTION: FAR 52.211-10�states �. ""(c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 120 calendar days after the date the contractor receives the notice to proceed.""� In the�Statement of Work - Period of Performance�it states ""Provide a fully functional and operational system 120 days from contract award.�Please advise which is correct. ANSWER:�120 IS WHAT THE POSTING SAYS. QUESTION: CAR 1352.242-70 Post Award Conference (April 2010)�states ""A postaward conference with the successful offeror may be required."" ANSWER: If a conference is required, where will it be located? NOT REQUIRED AND WOULD BE ADDRESSED IF NEEDED. BUT YOU DO HAVE TO GET WITH THE CLIENT POC TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE SAME PAGE AND HAVE AUTHORIZATION TO WORK ON THE SITE.� YOU WOULDN'T JUST SHOW UP AND START WORKING WITHOUT COMMUNICATING WITH THE PERSONS IN THE AWARD.� QUESTION: Does the existing coop trailer have axles and wheels still attached?�ANSWER: I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU DO A SITE VISIT TO VERIFY WHAT IS THERE.� QUESTION: Are there any concrete foundations or slabs below the coop trailer?� The crawl space access was not available at the site visit.�ANSWER: THERE IS NO CEMENT PAD CURRENTLY A NEW PAD WILL BE NEEDED FOR THE NEW BUILDING. QUESTION: Has a geotechnical report been prepared?� The building manufacturer will provide building ������������� �reactions but to properly design the building foundation, a geotechnical report identifying soil load bearing properties ������������� �is needed.��Please advise. ANSWER: THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE AND WE DO NOT EXPECT TO DO IT.� �������������� IF YOUR COMPANY NEEDS TO DO THIS, IT IS UPON YOUR COMPANY.� AGAIN I RECOMMEND �������������� GOING TO THE SITE TO SEE IF YOU THINK IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU COMPANY TO DO.� QUESTION: The description in the�Statement of Work�seems to indicate a pre-engineered metal building.�� Is this the intention of NOAA? ANSWER:�YES QUESTION: What building code applies to this NOAA location?�ANSWER: THIS IS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION VENDORS TO DETERMINE.� �VENDORS MUST FOLLOW ALL STATE, FEDERAL, ETC... REGULATIONS QUESTION: In the�Security�paragraph of the�Statement of Work�it states ""The contractor(s) will be required to sign in each morning and sign out each evening""��ANSWER:��This will be at the location of the new building. QUESTION: In the�Safety and Emergency Plan�paragraph of the�Statement of Work�it states ""The contractor shall designate one person as Safety Coordinator�.""
