- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of Marine and Aviation Operations/Marine Operations Center � Pacific, NOAA Ship Bell Shimada requires replacement of five (5) weather tight doors. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number NM-AN0000-21-01333 is issued as a firm fixed price, commercial, request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05. (iv) This requisition is set aside for small business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 332321, Metal Window and Door Manufacturing the small business size standard is 750 Employees. (v) Line items are as follows: CLIN 1: Five (5) weather tight doors for the NOAA Ship Bell Shimada. (vi) Description of requirements for the items to be acquired: This is a requirement for five (5) replacement weather tight doors for the NOAA Ship Bell Shimada. Specifications are listed in the Statement of Need. Doors must meet physical, functional, and performance characteristics as listed. Doors must meet the definition of �weather tight� (see below). Please provide a firm, fixed-price quote, including shipping. If unable to meet the requested delivery date, please feel free to provide best available date. Please demonstrate capacity to meet this requirement with your quote. Weather tight definition: Weather tight means that water will not penetrate in any sea condition, except that �weather tight equipment� means equipment constructed or protected so that exposure to a beating rain will not result in the entrance of water.
