- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334290 and its small business size standard of 750 employees. The Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital located in Hines, IL has the requirement for a Nurse Call Hardware and Software Upgrade. Currently, the Hines VA owns various models of the Rauland Nurse call system ranging from Rauland 3 systems to Rauland 5. The goal of the Hines VA is to upgrade the Nurse Call system for the facility to one uniform system for an enterprise level system. This will allow for the Nurse Call systems to be upgraded to the latest technology and allow for a seamless communication for Nurse Call throughout the facility. This procurement will be an upgrade of existing systems, which shall reutilize existing infrastructure such as conduit, back boxes, raceways, low voltage lighting power supplies, control relays, cross room television control cable, local paging amplifier and speakers and AC power circuits where possible. Additionally, no construction will be involved in this procurement. Below is a description of the current state of Nurse Call at the Hines VA Hospital. Warranty and Maintenance: Minimum of 5-year warranty on all hardware components Minimum of 1-year Availability of Service: Local, onsite service available within 2 hours of call Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products (if applicable).
