- Description
- 1.0. Description of Services: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services to manufacture, deliver, and install of equipment on organizational property. One walk-in parts blaster. Perform necessary building modifications to accept the blasters new location. Provide safety, operational, and preventative/servicing maintenance training to assigned personnel in a manner that will ensure continuous functional and safe operation. Items/parts not listed that are required for proper operation should be considered. Ensure systems operations and meet industry standards. 1.1. Scope of work: The current blaster will be dismantled and removed from the structure including everything inside and outside of the structure that is part of the function of the blaster.� All new equipment shall be installed to the specifications listed below. 2.0. The blast room will contain at a minimum the following: Blast Enclosure 15�W x 10�H x 20�L, 12-gauge walls, 14-gauge ceilings. Wall panels are modular for ease of installation. 12-LED ceiling light fixtures for approximately 100 ft-candles @ 36� from floor, light bulbs will be accessible from the exterior of the blast booth. Booth light openings are sealed using 3/8� reinforced glass. One set of swing type equipment doors and one metal personnel doors with view windows and safety interlocks. One 15,000 CFM, 24-Cartridge Power Module Dust Collector system with an auto clean electronically controlled pulse system with maintenance access ladder/platform. Hopper assembly with waste barrel discharge and slide gate. Blast Generator Cyclone Separator with vibratory screen designed for multi-media use. Adjustable air wash cone to fine tune for multi-media usage. Large 16 cubic foot Storage Hopper with sight glass. 7.5 hp Media Recovery Blower. Blast Machine. One (1) 1/2� bore Nozzles. One (1) sets lightweight hose systems consisting of 20 feet of 1-1/4� ID x 1-7/8� OD media hose and 16 feet of 3/4� ID x 1-1/2� OD �whip� hose for operator ease and maneuverability. One (1) blast control system with control handle and automatic safety. 6-cubic foot Pressure Vessel with 60-degree conical bottom for total media discharge. Air Injection Module at pressure vessel discharge for smooth, even, repeatable media flow. Media Metering Valve with straight through design, featuring stainless steel bore for precise & repeatable media flow, and thread less cleanout port for fast access to the top of the valve. Air Inlet Control Assembly with moisture separator, air pressure regulator, and gauge. Internal pop-up Filler Valve for automatic refill on every exhaust cycle. High volume 1-1/4� internal and external piping with 1-1/2� inlet valve. Above grade full floor pneumatic media recovery system with grating/perforated. One fully automatic and programmable recovery floor tube selector for consentient and efficient media recovery from the recovery floor. Personnel door entry with viewing window. Associated equipment including hoses, CO monitor with visual alarm and horn. Control Panels with disconnect switches, motor starters, and safety interlocks. One (1) set Operator Safety Packages with, breathing air hose, helmet. Two (2) breathing and (2) one tool air connection points in booth with hoses. All new equipment will be shipped shrink wrapped for outside storage prior to installation. Blast Media Recovery System One fully automatic and programmable floor tube selector for consentient and efficient media recovery from the recovery floor. Hardened steel slide gates keep all media and dust contained in the recovery system, no air �bleed-off� is required. Hardened steel elbows instead of rubber blast hose smoothly change media direction. Short blast hose are connected from the floor recovery tubes to the recovery system but is only used to connect the two pieces together so there is minimal to no media contact of the hose. Entire system is powder coated for the ultimate in corrosion protection and professional appearance. Frame material made of high-strength steel; frame powder coated. Blast gates are pneumatically actuated. Blast gate loiter time programmable. Wall Mounting Blasting Station Remove the existing wall blasting station, refurbish it with new gloves, seals window and reinstall into the new blast booth. Air Shower for Blasting Room Durable and Cleanroom-Approved Painted Cold Rolled Steel Shell. No Silicone used - only Low-Outgassing Epoxy or Urethane Sealant. (2) Anodized Aluminum framed Safety Glass Doors with Hydraulic Door Closers. (1) LED Recessed Light Fixture with Wall Switch. (27) Adjustable Anodized Aluminum Nozzles. (1) Removable High-Pressure Interior Nozzle Wall Panel. (1) 5HP (3.7kW), 3600RPM Sealed Ball Bearing Continuous Duty Motor (Motor meets or exceeds U.S. EPAct and NRCan Canadian efficiency standards). (1) Superior Efficiency Direct Drive Aluminum Airfoil Wheel. 7800 FPM (39.62 m/s) Average Nozzle Velocity. 1900 CFM (0.9 m3/s) Average. (1) 24x24x11.5, 99.97% HEPA Filter. (3) Wall Return Air Grills with 10x20x1 MERV 8 Prefilters. (1) 2-1/2 Inch Diameter Sprinkler Sleeve. Programmable Microprocessor PLC with 0-30 second adjustable run time and 0-10 second adjustable wait time. UL508A Panel Sticker. CSA Listed (selected models). 208 Volt, 60 Hz, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 14.5 FLA. Breathing Air Breathing air panel that includes filtration for Class D breathing air. The breathing air panel filtration also removes smell and tastes that air compressors produce. The breathing air panel will support up to 2 operators. The breathing air panel will be installed and then breathing air lines will be run to the blast booth. A breathing air test port will be installed for testing. This way you will only have to perform one breathing air test. The system will include breathing air lines for 2-operators. The breathing air lines will be matched to the Bullard blast helmet being supplied per OSHA regulations on breathing air hose and helmet must be of same manufacture from the point of attachment (POA) to the helmet. The interior of the booth will have a visual and audible signal to warn the operators of low flow or C/O within the breathing air. This warning will also shut off the blast hose inside the booth until the breathing air issue is corrected. The installation also includes all the copper piping and fittings that are required.� ����� �� ����������� 3.0. The contractor shall provide Equipment Installation, Setup, Start-up and Training One Project Supervisor and labor as required. Removal of old equipment. All required ducting and fittings. All electrical connections. All tool air connections. All breathing air connections. Testing and certification for grade �D� breathing. Approximate time on site:� 30 to 35 calendar days. Includes airfare, local transportation, meals, and accommodations. System start-up, testing, and appropriate adjustments. Operator training of strip process, equipment operation, equipment servicing to increase product life, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance to be conducted immediately following equipment installation. Two hard copies of OEM manuals and one CD copy. Lifetime over the phone technical advice and troubleshooting. A mandatory site visit will occur on 2 June 2021 at 09:00 PST at 14354 W Starfighter St Bldg 997, Luke AFB, AZ 85309. There is a maximum of 2 attendees per company. You must confirm attendance and the individuals who will represent your company to Samantha Kehoe at samantha.kehoe@us.af.mil by 28 May 2021 at 15:00 PST. Upon confirmation of attendance, you will receive instructions for base access.
