Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS), Portland Area Office intends to award one (1) firm fixed price purchase order for laboratory proficiency testing to a single source, American Proficiency Institute in pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b). Laboratory testing is regulated by 42 CFR 493. Proficiency testing is specifically mandated by 42 CFR 493.801 Subpart H- Participation in Proficiency Testing for Laboratories Performing Nonwaived Testing. Additionally, proficiency testing programs must be approved by HHS as dictated by 42 CFR 493.901-Approval of proficiency testing programs.� American Proficiency Institute is currently being use by all Portland Area Service Units. �The Portland Area Indian Health Service complies with the Buy Indian Act as well. This rule supplements the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The only known source available that is able to complete the contract requirements is American Proficiency Testing. The period of performance is from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2024 including options.� The NAICS code is 621511 and the small business size standard is 32.5M.� No solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to single source are anticipated. All questions or comments regarding this notice shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to Allan. Gaerlan @ihs.gov, with the subject line entitle �Lab Proficiency Testing.� Government is only accepting written inquiries from this notice.
