Description
NOTE: THIS IS A SYNOPSIS, NOT A SOLICITATION. PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE�AT THIS TIME; THEREFORE NO QUESTIONS OF A TECHNICAL OR CONTRACTUAL NATURE WILL BE�ACCEPTED OR ANSWERED UNTIL THE SOLICITATION IS ISSUED. INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS�SYNOPSIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This procurement is set-aside for Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Businesses only. Solicitation No. W912P821B0059 is anticipated to be issued as an�Invitation for Bid (IFB). NAICS Code:� 237990.�The resulting contract shall be a�single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract.�The solicitation is anticipated to issue�on or about 2 July 2021, and a bid opening date will be on or about 3 August 2021; however, the actual date of bid opening will be determined upon the solicitation advertisement date. The Angola Camp F Seepage Berm Project work will consist of constructing approximately three (3) feet of a landside seepage berm, to be located on the existing Louisiana State Penitentiary Levee (LSPL) Angola Ring Levee, in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana. This project will extend an existing seepage berm, which has a berm toe approximately 255 feet from the levee baseline, to the proposed berm toe approximately 455 feet from the levee baseline. The new seepage berm will begin at elevation 53.5 ft NAVD88 and will slope down at a 1V:50H slope until elevation 49.0 ft NAVD88 where it will slope down at a 1V:5H slope until reaching natural ground. It is expected that heavy construction equipment such as excavators and bulldozers will be used for construction. Other work includes silt fences, truck wash down rack, clearing and grubbing, borrow pit development, embankment compacted fill, seeding and mulching, fertilizer, lime soil amendment, sulfur soil amendment, and geotextile.�(The estimated time of completion is 260 calendar days after receipt�of notice to proceed. The solicitation will include 18 drawings and specifications). In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated value of this�work is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation. Telephone, written, facsimile, or email�requests for the solicitation package will not be honored. Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this�site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
