Description
This notice is for Solicitation Number 36C24221B0046, Project Number 620-19-101 Building 1 Elevators, at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System, Montrose Campus, 2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, New York, 10548. This shall be a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. As a result, all SDVOSB's may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. This project is classified under NAICS Code 238290 and has a size standard of $16.5 Million. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Scope of Work: The scope of work shall generally consist of, but not limited to the following: The contractor will furnish all materials, equipment, supervision, and personnel necessary to accomplish the rehabilitation and upgrades to the elevators in building 1 at the Montrose Campus of the Hudson Valley Health Care System. The contractor shall adhere to all accompanying drawings, specifications, and any local and federal codes, regulations, and procedures that apply. Work shall include, but not be limited to trades such as asbestos abatement, lead paint abatement, disposal of abatement wastes, equipment demolition and removals, control / signal and electrical upgrade work, A majority of the work will be performed within the existing elevator shaft-ways but will encroach upon the floor to floor elevator lobby locations in addition to the reworking of the elevator penthouse location. It is the intent of the project to refinish the existing elevator doorway stainless steel coverings and the stainless-steel doorway surrounds at each elevator floor level entry. The Contractor will be responsible to coordinate their work with the VA including access to sensitive area at the Building 1 site which will include the Ground Floor Morgue facility presently being served by one of the elevators and whose access point will be closed off during this elevator upgrade process. ICRA dust and fire rated work sheds will be employed at the elevator doorways at each elevator lobby floor level. The anticipated modernization services will be performed on one elevator at a time since passenger elevator services at Building 1 need to be maintained. Construction Phasing will be required to ensure that the start of work at a second elevator will not be permitted until all testing and commission of the modernized first elevator is completed and accepted by the VA and the appropriate governing entities and to meet all the facility s fire protection requirements and the requirements of all regulatory codes, laws, etc. . ITEM I, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, Contractor to provide labor, material and supervision for work on the two Building 1 elevators at the Montrose campus, including but not limited to: Lead Abatement, Asbestos Abatement, monitoring & quality control, Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC work necessary for the upgrade and modernization of the two Building 1 elevators as required by contract drawings and contract specifications. Project Completion: 450 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). All other details and information shall be contained in the solicitation which shall be posted on www.beta.sam.gov. The solicitation will be released on or about July 5, 2021. The response submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. This project requires bonding and all responses/submissions to the solicitation to be posted later shall be in hardcopies. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. All prospective bidders must be currently registered in www.sam.gov , www.dnb.com (Duns and Bradstreet)and be registered and verified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in www.vip.vetbiz.gov at the time of offer submission and before award of this procurement.
