Description

This specification establishes a requirement for replacing one (1) United Testing Universal Test System and two (2) Tinius Olsen Universal Test Systems (referred to herein as old Universal Test Systems) with a quantity of two (2) floor mounted, new Universal Test Systems and one (1) small, table-top, new Universal Test System. The old/existing Universal Test Systems are responsible for testing critical helical and belleville springs for the M1 family of tracked vehicles in buildings 143 and 423 at Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) Anniston, Alabama. The intended application is for conformance testing of 15 specimens per the applicable National Maintenance Work Requirement (NMWR) called out in 4.10, Figure 1.� This specification describes the requirements of the replacement of the old Universal Test Systems. These specifications include shipping and delivery to the Anniston Army Depot in Anniston Alabama.� Exact specifications and requirements will be explained in the solicitation.� This procurement will be solicited using full and open competition.� North American Industry Classification System Code is 334419; size standard is 750.� This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502, and 5.102(a); therefore hardcopies will not be provided.� Proposals submitted must be in electronic format as stated in the solicitation.� Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the Internet: beta.SAM.gov.� Estimated issue date is June 15, 2021.� CAUTION:� This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto.� Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is, in fact, unable to maintain a bidder�s mailing list.� It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued.� Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of your proposal.� POINT OF CONTACT: Velma Shufford Contract Specialist, by E-Mail:� velma.l.shufford.civ@mail.mil.
