Description

NOTICE OF INTENT FOR 8(A) SOLE SOURCE- 1240LP21Q0116. The NAICS Category is 115310- Support Activities for Forestry. Posted Jun 16, 2021. Due Jun 18, 2021. Posted by the USFS PPS CSA 4. The work will be performed at Boulder Ranger and Clear Creek Districts, Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests, USA. Set aside for Sole Source 8(a). This contract action will be accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is a contract where an exception to fair opportunity requirements was approved due to the 8(a) Small Business Partnership with the SBA which allows approved sole source contracts with those businesses identified under the program. Sweat USA, LLC will be selected as the awarded vendor for providing thinning and piling of vegetation (both activity and existing) with manual labor. The US Forest Service requires thinning and piling of vegetation support services. This sole source requirement meets the conditions OF Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act (15 USC 637(a)(1)) and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Part 19.86 and the executed Partnership Agreement between the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Department of Agriculture, Forest Service. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 115310. This will be a firm fixed price contract. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources that believe they can meet all of the requirements may contact the USDA FS via e-mail at stephen.holly@usda.gov and be considered by the government. If no responses are received by 1400 MST 18 JUNE 2021, a Sole Source contract will be pursued with Sweat USA, LLC.
