Page 2 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO 17), El Paso, TX intends to enter into an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Contractors to provide Board Certified /Board Eligible On-site Ophthalmology Retina Specialty Medical Physician(s) Services at El Paso VA Health Care System, Specialty 2 Ophthalmology/Optometry, 5001 N. Piedras Street, El Paso, TX 79930-4210. The Retina Specialist shall work on Tuesdays and Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM for a total of 16 hours per week. The term of the contract is a base of one year with four one-year option periods. Solicitation documents are anticipated to be available on May 14, 2021 or shortly thereafter and will be posted via the Contract Opportunities website. Prospective Offerors should not expect notification of issuance of amendments other than via the Contract Opportunities website and are responsible for obtaining all amendments as posted. Prior to submission of a quote, Offerors are expected to read the solicitation documentation in its entirety to fully understand the scope of work and terms and conditions of the requirement(s). The VA anticipates issuing a Service-Disable Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside solicitation for this requirement. The solicitation will be available for download from https://beta.sam.gov. Interested Contractors will be responsible for downloading copies of the solicitation (and any subsequent amendments) from that website, and no hard copies are available. The solicitation will provide instructions to Contractors about the quote submission process. Prospective Offerors are encouraged to register their interest in the solicitation on the Contract Opportunities website so that they are notified of the issuance of the solicitation and any amendments. Only VA verified SDVOSBs in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database (https://www.vetbiz.va.gov/) at the time of submission of offer will be considered for award and non-VIP verified firms will be considered non-responsive and ineligible for award. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management, prospective Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database under the applicable NAICS Code. Firms may obtain SAM information at https://www.sam.gov. To be eligible for award, Contractors must be registered in SAM. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 621111 with a small size standard of $12.0 Million applies to this acquisition. The classification code is Q511 (Medical- Ophthalmology). Offerors shall be registered as a Small Business for NAICS 621111 and shall be represented as such within its System for Award Management (SAM) registration. To be considered for award an SDVOSB Offeror shall be verified in VIP as an SDVOSB and shall be registered as a small business for NAICS 621111 in SAM.
