Description: The proposed action is to issue a procurement for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) to purchase Yttrium-90 (Y-90), Sirspheres. The microspheres are labeled with yttrium 90 (Y- 90); a beta-emitting isotope that delivers the tumoricidal doses of radiation to the tumor Y-90 Sirspheres is indicated for the treatment of unresectable colorectal carcinoma metatstases to the liver and is the only available treatment in the commercial marketplace to any patient that meets the drug's intended audience.
