- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation�s Concrete and Structural Laboratory in Denver, Colorado has six large controlled-environment chambers that are housed within a room measuring 49 by 57 feet within a large single-story temperature-controlled building. The chamber system requires renovation due to performance reliably from time of original installation. Work is located at the Denver Federal Center in Denver, Colorado. Principal components of the work to be performed in accordance with the specifications include a new configuration. The new retrofitted configuration should not rely on the previous designs or components of the heating and cooling, control system, or data acquisitions from the existing configuration. Only the existing insulated chambers (walk-ins), building power, and dedicated chiller should be considered for reuse in new configuration. To the maximum extent possible, the existing insulated prefabricated chambers (walk-ins) will be reused, and modified. It is expected that the existing wall, floor, and ceiling panels of each chamber are adequate and can be retrofitted with updated equipment. The project is expected to be completed in March 2023. This requirement will be competed as a full and open request for proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238290 Other Building Equipment Contractors and the small business size standard, applicable to this project is $16.5 million. Proposals will be accepted from all responsive and responsible businesses. An electronic copy of the solicitation will be issued on or about July 6, 2021 at www.SAM.gov, but all dates in this notice are subject to change. The solicitation will close approximately 30 days after its issuance. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. To take advantage of business opportunities with the Bureau of Reclamation and the Department of the Interior you must register your firm with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Reclamation intends to award one firm fixed-price contract. In accordance with FAR 36.204(f), the magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
