Description
The Marine Corps has unfulfilled operational and training requirements for a hand-held communications system that can, along with other components, participate in the Link-16 network that fuses joint air, maritime, and ground assets into a common operational picture (COP) for command and control/situational awareness/fires (C2/SA/F).� The Link 16 platform is capable of providing this capability with voice and digital information sharing via a Low Probability of detection/low probability of intercept via a shared network specifically, enabling the capability to broadcast maneuver Precise Participation Location and Identification (PPL&I) information; maintain real-time ground and air situational awareness (SA); and synchronizing assets across the warfighting domains which will increase interoperability between ground and aviation assets and shorten the kill chain in support of (ISO) Expeditionary Advanced Basing Operations (EABO) within the U.S. INDO-PACIFIC Area of Responsibility (AOR). The Marine Corps intends to procure the following items as Name Brand items: Quantity 30, Viasat BATS-D, A/N PRC-161/Handheld Link 16 radios Quantity 3, Viasat L3-Harris Small Tactical Terminals KOR-24A (P/N WB STT KOR-24A) Request information on sources that provide similar functional capability and may be considered Name Brand equivalents to the following collateral equipment compatible to the operation of Link 16 radios: Quantity 15, Viasat Dual Desktop A/N PRC-161 Battery/Radio Chargers Quantity 3, Viasat Digitally Aided Close Air Support-Gateways-Special Operations Forces (DACAS-G-S). Includes: Move Out Jump Off (MOJO) Amplified Speaker, MOJO Accessory Kit, L-16 Ground Antenna, L-16 Mobile Antenna, UHF/VHF Ground Antenna, Situational Awareness Data Link (SADL) Mobile Antenna, Ground Antenna Mast Kit, Amplifier Kit for Ground Antenna Mast Kit, RF cable (300), and WinIDM software Quantity 3, Viasat Part #1286455 Move Out Jump Off (MOJO) Mini Kits. Includes: Key Display Unit (KDU), Cables: RJ45 and USB, Power (AC and DC); STT not included
