Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Past performance will be considered in the selection of the awarded vendor. Location of work to be performed: USCGC GREENBRIER (75501) 44 L.E. Barry Rd. Natchez, MS 39120 Period of Performance: 1st choice: week of 12 July 2021 2nd choice: week of 19 July 2021 Vessel Details: USCGC GREENBRIER is moored at above address with restricted access. Access to cutter is gained by establishing communications with vessel point of contact. Description of Problem: Vessel has experienced a failure of their ship service hot water heater. This hot water heater is no longer made and requires replacement with a new tank. Work to be performed: Techs will arrive at cutter (above location) and remove the old water heater which will need to be disassembled to take of the cutter. Techs will then proceed to install a REALM ELD-50 water heater (vendor supplied) with assistance of ships force to conduct any hot work for necessary bracketing for new water heater. Techs shall install new valves and piping as required. While hot water will not be available during the duration of this install; cold water shall be re-started as soon as possible in order to provide necessary water for sinks, toilets, drinking fountains, and galley equipment.
