Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER.� The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to the Department of Statistics, Miami University, 501 E. High St., Oxford, OH 45058-1846, for services for advanced statistical and risk assessment expertise to to support development of a Research Version of the NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards and provide consultation and technical expertise related to NIOSH risk assessment guidance to the Risk Evaluation Branch (REB), Division of Science Integration (DSI), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). �The project requires services for specific technical expertise in statistical modeling techniques in risk assessment. �This is a 12 month requirement.� �� The capability requirement that makes it a sole source is this data is exclusive and has proprietary data. Miami University is the only source that can provide the data that can meet the needs of the government. For this contract action the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Interested persons must submit a capability statement that responds to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received from the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation/response should be emailed to Dwight Favors, Contract Specialist at dyf3@cdc.gov by June 30, 2021. No phone calls please.� If no affirmative responses are received on or before the date stated, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), negotiations will be conducted with the Department of Statistics, Miami University, 501 E. High St., Oxford, OH 45058-1846, as the only source and a purchase order will be issued without any additional notices being posted.�
