Description
PRESOLICITATION NOTICE Project #659-345 Construct New Imaging Building The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design for new Imaging Center Construction project at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 1601 Brenner Ave, Salisbury, NC 28144. Architect-Engineer (A/E) firm shall furnish all material, labor, and work as required to design services for New Imaging Building. The project will consist of a new building approximately 20,056 square feet imaging center to include MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Imaging, Interventional Radiology Suite, Cath Lab, and Stress Lab modalities. New imaging building to be design in close proximity to the main Medical Building Number 2. Contractor shall provide three options for future location shall during the conception stage of design. Professional design services shall include, but not limited to utilities, grading, drainage, curbs, walks, pavement, architectural, sound system, soil analysis, structural, plumbing, mechanical, medical gas, fire suppression system, security / life safety, radiation / radiofrequency (RF) shielding, magnetic shielding, and electrical works. All work shall be per VA design guidelines for imaging services dated September 1, 2020 and the Salisbury VAMC Design Manual dated 11/19/2020. All other local, state, and federal codes shall apply. Refer to VA Technical Information Library (TIL) (www.cfm.va.gov/TIL ) which provides standards for all VA planning, design, and construction projects. SERVICES: Provide professional Architect/Engineer services to include but not limited to: 1. Site investigation including permits 2. Architectural, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Environmental (e.g., geotechnical) 3. Environmental survey (lead, asbestos, mold identification, etc.) 4. Construction drawings and specifications 5. Construction estimates 6. Construction period services 7. Submission review with recommendations and approvals (e.g., change proposals, Requests for Clarification, product submittals, shop drawings, tests) 8. Update drawings as-built conditions from contractor record drawings, VA correspondence during construction Final Inspection 9. Conduct Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) in conjunction with VA Safety/Infection Control staff This solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. Solicitation material will be available on/about July 7, 2021. Any specifications, drawings and amendments will be posted on this web site. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for proposals. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice. No other information is available until issuance of the solicitation.
