- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a�solicitation in August 2021 for the operation and maintenance of all vessels assigned to the NAVSEA�Inactive Ship Maintenance Office (INACTSHIPMAINTO) Philadelphia, PA and active vessels assigned to the CG/LSD Modernization Detachment Norfolk, VA.� The services include receipt, inspection, survey, maintenance and disposal of vessels as well as structural, mechanical, and electrical modifications to vessels. NAVSEA intends to award a single Cost Plus Fixed Fee Level of Effort contract from this solicitation. A sources sought notice was issued in the System for Award Management (SAM) website on 17 March 2021 under NAICS Code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) titled: �Operation and Maintenance of Philadelphia Inactive Vessels and CG/LSD Modernization Detachment Norfolk� N00024-21-R-4203."" This pre-solicitation synopsis is for information only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to solicit contractual offers or award contracts. The Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. This is not a request for proposals, a promise to issue a request for proposals, or a promise by the Government to pay for information received in response to this synopsis or any subsequent synopsis. The information contained herein is subject to modification and in no way binds the Government to award a contract. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced via SAM at https://sam.gov, and interested parties must comply with that announcement and are advised to continue to monitor this website.
