Description
Amendment 0001 is issued. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The work includes replacement of chiller units.� The contractor must perform mechanical work including plumbing work, electrical work, and related works to complete the replacements of chiller units.� The work also includes temporary work, incidental related work, and modification of existing work that is necessary to accomplish the project.� The contractor must conduct site survey to verify all dimensions and local and existing conditions, and to examine the contract drawings and specifications to determine the extent of the work prior to commencement of the work.� The contract also includes repair or replacement of existing work damaged by the Contractor�s operations to equal or better conditions. The rough order of magnitude of this project is 100,000,000 JPY � 500,000,000 JPY. The term of this project is not to exceed 180 calendar days.��� Contractor License Requirement: Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded and performed in its entirety in the country of Japan. Contractors must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the contract.� Contractors must be registered to do business and possess an appropriate license issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport or prefectural government in order to perform work under this contract. � Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA): The U.S. Government shall not offer �United States Official Contractor� status under Article XIV of the U.S.-Japan Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) under this solicitation. Furthermore, unless specifically provided in the specific task order request for proposal, the U.S. Government shall not certify any employees of a contractor as �Members of the Civilian Component� under Article I(b) of the SOFA.
