Description

THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR TOTAL SMALL BUSINESSES. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces the opportunity to solicit and award for General Construction Contractors with elevator experience to modernize one existing Two Landing Hydraulic Passenger elevator in the La Branch Federal Building. Modernization of this passenger elevator is necessary due to the elevator being obsolete and required to bring the elevator up to ASMEA17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. � Work consists of, but is not limited to, the modernization of one (1) existing Two Landing Hydraulic Passenger elevator. The selected contractor will need to provide a pump unit, solid state microprocessor controls, cab, doors, and all associated work to provide one completely new passenger elevators. The contractor will also need to provide an option for a hopeless hydraulic type of operation in lieu of in ground unit. Work performed under this contract shall meet or exceed the latest ASME-A17.1 Elevator Code and the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards. Location of work is at the La Branch Federal Building, 2320 La Branch Street, Houston, Texas 77004 The estimated dollar amount of the project is between $100,000 and $250,000.00.� Construction completion time is two-hundred and seventy (270) calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). Proposals shall be submitted via e-mail to erika.wilburn-campbell@gsa.gov by solicitation close date of July 21st, 2021, 2:00 p.m. central standard time. NAICS: 238290/Other building equipment contractors/Size Standard: 16.5M The Government seeks to achieve Construction Excellence that will result in the best project utilizing tradeoff type of best value, while maintaining budget.� A contractor will be selected via FAR Part 15 - Source Selection procedures utilizing the tradeoff type of best value continuum, where the technical factors (when combined) are significantly more important than price in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-2 (a).
