- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. �Brand Name or Equal product only�.� The following FAR Clause applies: Clause 52.211-6 - Brand Name or Equal (AUG 1999) This requirement is �Subject to the Availability of Funds� The Following FAR Clause applies: AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS (52.232-18) (APR 1984) This synopsis, NAICS code 811219, identified as RFQ #75F40121Q00077 is to notify contractors that the government intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.106 for the following specifications, under the simplified acquisition procedures. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and any amendments. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the beta.sam.gov website for the release of any amendments to this solicitation. Hard copies will only be provided to individuals eligible under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Rehabilitation Act upon request. Purchase of One Compressor for �Ultra WAVE� Microwave Digestion System ��Brand Name or Equal� for the Food and Drug Administration Scope/Specifications: The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the tasks and deliverables described in this Statement of Work (SOW). The Contractor shall provide compressor and accessories that meet or exceed the requirements described below. Salient Characteristics/Technical Specifications: The deliverables shall meet or exceed the following salient characteristics/technical specifications: High pressure compressor used to adjust nitrogen supply to meet pressure specifications for direct loading to the Milestone Ultra WAVE Compressor shall be compatible with and operate with existing Milestone Ultra WAVE microwave digestion system Compressor with power supply at 230 V +10%/-5% 60Hz, maximum power consumption of 3000W, 2-ft power supply cords with NEMA 6-15 type plug Compressor to include pressure flow controller Buck-Boost Transformer to step-up 208VAC to 230VAC. Supplied with NEMA 6-15 plug Low pressure tubing (inlet) with dimensions 2m (78.7�) length, 6mm (ID) � 8mm (OD) All parts and accessories must be compatible and interchangeable with the labs� s existing Milestone Ultra WAVE microwave digestion system Trade and Service Specifications The components and/or equipment shall be a newly manufactured, not used, and refurbished, or previously used for demonstration.� The entire system shall be warranted for parts and labor for a minimum of twelve (12) months from date of formal government acceptance. �The warranty must include unlimited telephone/e-mail support for questions regarding operation.� The warranty plan shall include a minimum of one preventative maintenance visit to ensure the instruments are functioning at peak performance. Shall be delivered with all necessary supplies and accessories required for immediate use.� Government to perform install and set-up.� Records and Reports: The Contractor shall, commensurate with the completion of each service call (inclusive of warranty service), provide the end-user of the equipment with a copy of a field service report/ticket identifying the equipment name, manufacturer, model number, and serial number of the equipment being serviced/repaired and detailing the reason for the service call, a detailed description of the work performed, the test instruments or other equipment used to affect the repair or otherwise perform the service, the name(s) and contact information of the technician who performed the repair/service, and for information purposes, the on-site hours expended and parts/components replaced.� In addition, the Contractor shall provide monthly reports to the FDA PROJECT OFFICER and Contract Specialist, not later that the 5th work day following the end of each month, summarizing all maintenance and repair activities (including warranty work) for the previous month (during months that work is performed). Inspection and Acceptance Upon arrival, the shipping container will be inspected for damage. If significant damage is observed, such as a hole going through the container and packing to reach the. enclosure itself, it will be rejected. Period of Performance Total Contract Period of Performance is One Year which includes the Systems Warranty period. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible quoter as a fixed?price contract on the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) evaluation method. Award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price meeting or exceeding the non?cost factor (technical conformance to the requirements of the solicitation). The Quoter�s initial quotation shall contain the Quoter�s best terms from a price standpoint. Failure to demonstrate meeting any of the requirements will result in a rating of technically unacceptable and will not be considered for award.
