- Industry Day Overview: The Naval Sea Systems Command, Headquarters (NAVSEA HQ) intends to hold an Industry Day on 12 April 2021 at 10:30 AM EST. The Industry Day is planned to be held virtually. NAVSEA will release a follow on notification once the attendance has been identified and finalized. This Industry Day is being held to solicit market interest and discuss NAVSEA�s plan to maximize competition to meet SDAES requirements. �The Navy�s Regional Maintenance Centers employ SDAES support services in support of advanced planning for the maintenance and modernization of United States Navy (USN) destroyers, cruisers, amphibious class ships, Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) and the guided missile frigates (FFG).� ����� The SDAES Industry Day is being hosted by SEA 21 and PMS 505.� As Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Deputy Commander for Surface Warfare, SEA 21, is the dedicated life cycle management organization for the Navy's in-service surface ships and is responsible for managing critical modernization, maintenance, training and inactivation programs. SEA 21 integrates maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to best manage the lifecycle of U.S. and partner Navy surface ships and systems, overseeing all facets of surface ship modernization, advanced planning of surface ship availabilities, integration of new technologies, the overarching contract strategy, and planning yard functions. The Program Executive Office Unmanned and Small Combatants/PMS 505 LCS Fleet Introduction and Sustainment is co-sponsoring this event with SEA 21. To fully meet the SDAES requirements, NAVSEA intends to competitively award one or more contracts. The Industry Day will include an overview of the requirements and an expected timeline for implementation of follow on efforts: Interested parties are required to RSVP for the Industry Day by close of business 6 April 2021 by email to Lisa Carll, Contracting Officer, at lisa.carll@navy.mil and Tara Borntreger, Contract Specialist, at tara.borntreger@navy.mil. � The RSVP shall include the following information: Subject line:� �SDAES Industry Day RSVP,� and in the body of the email provide each attendee�s name, company name, citizenship, e-mail address, and telephone number. The Government does not plan to issue a draft solicitation for review and comment prior to the 12 April 2021 Industry Day. The Government will be making draft SDAES information available to RSVP contractors as it is ready for distribution and will be seeking feedback on this documentation during the Industry Day. ��Details for accessing this documentation will be posted in a separate update to beta.sam.gov. Industry Day Information The Industry Day event will be held virtually, see Attachment, SDAES Industry Day Registration Form to register for Industry Day. The specific details for joining the virtual Industry Day overview presentation will be provided via separate correspondence to pre-registered and confirmed companies only. Pre-registration is required to participate in the SDAES Industry Day. Registration on the day of the event is not allowed. Indicate on the registration form all company representatives that will participate in Industry Day including contact information. The Government�s presentation will be sent to all RSVP participants. �A Microsoft Teams calendar invite will be distributed along with the slides to all registered participants via email. The Government will send a Microsoft Teams calendar invite to all of the company�s designated representatives identified on the attached registration form. �Each company must designate a company lead person on the registration form. The Government�s presentation will begin promptly at 1030 on 12 April 2021. �A copy of the Government�s presentation will be shared to all vetted participants. One-on-one virtual engagement sessions will be conducted in the afternoon of 12 April 2021. Engagement sessions are one-on-one virtual meetings between the Government and individual companies intended for industry to provide feedback, concerns, and suggestions to the Navy. �During the one-one sessions, the Navy will be in receive mode and will not provide individual answers to specific questions.� Should a question arise in a one-on-one session that the Navy feels should be answered, the question and answer will be provided to all attendees via https://beta.sam.gov.� Engagement session slots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Indicate on the registration form if your company is interested in scheduling a one-on-one engagement session. The Government will forward assigned timeslots to individual companies via separate correspondence prior to Industry Day. �The Navy will send via email a Microsoft Teams calendar appointment to each company that schedules a one-on-one engagement session. �The company attendance list for the afternoon sessions should be sent to the Government�s POCs the week prior to the session. Access for all Industry Day events will be restricted to U.S. DoD contractors only. Audio or visual recording devices of any kind are prohibited. The CAGE number provided on the registration form will be used to verify U.S. DoD contractors. The deadline for registration is 6 April 2021 at 1700 EST. All Industry Day events will be held at the UNCLASSIFIED - For Official Use Only (FOUO) level and the information presented by the Government is considered Distribution Statement D. There will be no hard-copy materials provided to industry. Industry Day slides will be distributed to registered and approved participants prior to Industry Day. The SDAES Industry Day will be conducted in two parts: ������������������������������� Part 1) Virtual presentation to all attendees by the Government. ������������������������������� Part 2) One-on-one engagement sessions. Prior to release of the formal solicitation, the Government is not soliciting, nor will it accept, proposals as a result of this synopsis. The Government will not reimburse the cost of any submission in response to this announcement -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. If a solicitation is issued in the future, it will be announced under Contract Opportunities via the System for Award Management (SAM) website (https://beta.sam.gov/) and interested parties must comply with that announcement. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any effort or time required to participate.
