SUBJECT: Purchase of a high-precision 2-channel time-correlated single photon counter (TCSPC) SOLICITATION NUMBER:� NB7710302102197 RESPONSE DATE:� July 6, 2021 CONTACT POINTS: Monica H. Brown, monica.brown@nist.gov Intent to Award Sole Source to: Boston Electronics, THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD� to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to: Boston Electronics, 91 Boylston Street -- Brookline MA 02445.� �The objective of this sole source award is to acquire a Becker & Hickl SPC-182NX TCSPC to be able to convert the detection of the single light particle to a timestamp with picosecond accuracy and highest overall precision (1.6 ps RMS).� The Sole source is based on only one responsible source as Boston Electronics is the only contractor that provides this TCSPC.� The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334516; the small business size standard is 1000 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 10:00 AM EST on July 6, 2021 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Monica H. Brown, Contracting Officer, monica.brown@nist.gov. The email subject line shall state, Intent to Sole Source to Boston Electronics. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.����� ���������
