The SOW calls for a hydraulicwinch. Answer: Electric winch would be fine as long as it meets specs for lifting and speed. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6/15/2021 MODIFICATION 01 Modification 01 is issued to resolicit on an unrestricted basis as the small business set aside has been removed. Solicitation number for Modification 01 is now NFFN7100210229KXB1. Please see attached updated documents for Modification 01 - Statement of Work, SF18, and Combined Synospsis Solicitation. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6/11/2021 - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS What kindof lead time will the contractor be given before the vessel is needed? ANSWER: Two weeks Would an option involving two boats be acceptable? This option would consist of a mother ship that the scientists would stay on. The mothership would have a galley, AC, cabins, and everything to sleep and stay on the boat. The second boat would be a support boat. The support boat would be similar to a commercial fishing vessel that would have additional workspace, the hydraulic lifting system, and the hoisting mechanism on it as needed for the contract. This option would be less expensive. ANSWER: No, due to safety issues of transferring personnel between vessels and the need to monitor the video cameras charging and downloading overnight whichwould be on the support vessel. 6/7/2021 VENDOR QUESTIONS and ANSWERS: 1.SOW it explains that this contract is for a base plus two options periods.
