Description
The purpose of this amendment is to extend the response due date from 24 June 2021 at 4:00 PM PST to 02 July 2021 at 4:00 PM PST. The purpose of this amendment is include the�revised�Statement of Work (SOW) at Attachment 1, include�solicitation Amendment, pictures, approved drawings, and�RFI Answers, and to extend the proposal due date to 24 June 2021 at 4:00 pm. ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Edwards AFB, CA has a new requirements to replace the outdated and aging beacon tower which has reached the end of its serviceable life.� The project is to replace the outdated and aging beacon tower which has reached the end of its serviceable life. The current tower is a 108-foot self-supporting, four-legged beacon tower that was constructed in 1959 and is beyond its useful life. The new self-supporting, (aka Spectrum Beacon), tower will allow the 412th Communications Squadron and AF Plant 42 to better manage the agencies use of radio frequency spectrum management to perform vital operations that supports our mission. Improved Spectrum management will provide the technical engineering expertise needed to perform specific spectrum resources assessments and will create an efficient and more effective conflict resolution capability. �The tower MUST NOT exceed 180 feet (AGL) in height then external protuberance (antennas, lightning rod and/or other accessories) are attached to the top of the structure. Additionally, the Contractor is to perform the deconstruction, demolition and disposal of the previous Beacon Tower. This description of work is for general information only. It is not our intention to describe every feature of items of work or to define the scope of work. The solicitation will be a Request for Proposal (RFP), Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) source selection process. The proposed project is a Total Small Business SET-ASIDE. This is a source selection where best value is expected to result from selection of the technically acceptable proposal with the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-price factors. The NAICS Code for this project is 237130. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The performance period will be 180 days after the Notice to Proceed is issued. The responsible offeror must be registered in sam.gov to receive an award. The Government will not pay, nor reimburse, any costs associated with responding to this announcement. The Government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.
