Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice Only. This is not a request for quote; the VA is not seeking pricing or offers. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, is currently seeking potential sources/vendors having the skills and capabilities necessary to provide 1.3 FTE (2700 hours) onsite Emergency Department (ED) Physicians for the Cincinnati VAMC in Cincinnati, OH. Physicians must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Practice. Physicians not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine must have at least five (5) year of Emergency Department experience. The Contractor physicians will provide optimal care for patients presenting with medical, surgical, and psychiatric emergencies. This requires careful attention to individual medical problems and efficient Management of patient flow, especially during high patient volume periods. The contract physician s will be required to provide treatment, perform minor surgical procedures, i.e. simple laceration suturing, refer to consultants, admit patients, coordinate transfers, arrange follow-up. Provide acute intervention for stroke and myocardial infarction (MI) in appropriate patients, using facility and community guidelines. Physicians will cover night shifts from 1830 to 0700 (or shift times as needed to provide coverage), Holidays, Weekends, and during critical staff shortages. It is anticipated that the resultant five year contract will be awarded in March/April 2022 with performance beginning on: 7/1/2022. The NAICS Code assigned to this is requirement is 621111, Offices of Physicians, (except Mental Health Specialists). All interested contractors are invited to respond, as this information may be used to determine potential set asides for the above noted services. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow up information. Past Experience relative to similar requirements. Offer may provide the following information on similar projects for which the responder was a prime contractor.
