Description

The General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital has a need for the MRXperion-MEDRAD power injector that is used during MRI contrast studies to enhance vital organs. Interfaces with AGFA PACS. The ability to do contrast studies hinges on the use of an auto injector to push the contrast fast enough for the optimal visualization of vessels. GLWACH has on hand compatible syringes that are compatible with the injector. If another brand or type of injector is procured, the facility would have to request more funds to procure compatible syringes. The facility would have to send these exams out to the network if the MRI contrast injector is not procured, losing valuable workload. It is a critical piece of equipment used in the care of GLWACH patients to aid the physician in determining treatments as needed by patient physicians and determined to meet the medical, health, and lifestyle needs of the patients to provide quality health care for the GLWACH community.
