- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotations incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-84 dated Nov 1, 2015. All responsible sources may submit proposals that will be considered by the agency. The contract will be awarded on a firm-fixed-price basis using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. Past performance will be considered in the selection of the awarded vendor. TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM REPAIR ONBOARD THE USCGC FIR (WLB 213) 1.����������� Background.� This requirement is for the immediate repair of the USCGC FIR�s Fire Alarm Panel system.� The system has suffered an electrical ground within the main electronics board and was assessed as obsolete requiring replacement of all internal components.� In order to get the system operational, the Government is required to augment their current staff�s efforts with technical services.� 2.����������� Scope. The scope of this work is on the USCGC FIR and consists of replacement of obsolete internal components, returning the fire alarm panel to operational status, and certifying system. 3.����������� Objective.� The objective of this requirement is to troubleshoot and repair the ship�s fire alarm panel system. 4.����������� Tasks. The contractor shall provide onboard engineering/electronic services to troubleshoot and repair the ship�s fire alarm panel system to include but not limited to: 4.1.�������� Travel Onsite to replace all components in the NFS-320 fire alarm panel IAW TP. 4.2.�������� Download the existing fire alarm program from the old panel, and upload it to the new panel. 4.3.�������� Troubleshoot the ground fault that is currently on the alarm panel. 4.4.�������� Test the system, to prove proper operations. 4.5.�������� Issue a Certificate of Inspection for the system. 5.����������� Delivery. Contractor shall deliver the ship�s fire alarm system back to operational status. Contractor shall provide a final report within 3 days of contract period of performance.� 6.����������� Government furnished property.� There is no Government furnished property (GFP) anticipated; however, the Government may in the course of this repair require GFP.�� If GFP is required, it will be incorporated via contract modification. 7.����������� Place of performance- Cutter's home pier, Cordova, AK.� 8.����������� Period of performance- From date of award through 05 days; recommended POP 12-16 JUL 2021.
