Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice General: The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting bids for construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows: Replace Peavine and Big Springs Pavilions at Ozark National Scenic Riverways, Van Buren, Missouri. Solicitation Number 140P6221B0003. The offeror selected shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project. Description: Replace two picnic pavilions located in the Big Spring District of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Both the Peavine and Big Spring pavilions were destroyed during the April 2017 Flood Event. The Peavine and Big Spring Shelters are located near Big Spring along the Current River, approximately 5 miles south of Van Buren, Missouri. Project will replace the picnic pavilions, which have already been demolished, with more sustainable designed structure that could withstand the destructive forces of nature to a greater degree. The pavilions will be designed to complement the existing 'CCC' era architecture that the Big Springs District is known for. Landscaping, water features, barbeque grills, and fire pits are anticipated to be included. Type of Acquisition: The National Park Service (NPS), Midwest Region (MWR), Missouri Major Acquisition Buying Office (MABO) intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) that would result in a firm fixed price contract. The NAICS code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $39.5 million. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the estimated price range for this contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. This solicitation is advertised as a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-aside. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on www.sam.gov on or about 26 July 2021. All bidders are strongly encouraged to contact their local Small Business Administration office, to post their need for qualified subcontractors on SUB-Net (http://web.sba.gov/subnet) for potential subcontractors. It is anticipated that a pre-bid site visit will be scheduled soon after the solicitation is issued.
