Description
US Army Corps of Engineers, New England District 696 Virginia Road Concord, MA 01742-2751 US The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing this Sources Sought Announcement for Construction Services for the Generator Replacement project at Surry Mountain Dam in Surry, NH. This announcement is to determine interest, availability and capability of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned and Small Business concerns for this project. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238210. The project is planned to be issued in the Fall of 2021 with construction to take place during the spring months of 2022. The estimated construction cost is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The Surry Mountain Dam construction started in 1939 and finished in 1942. The Dam and its reservoir are one of a coordinated system of seven flood control reservoirs constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for flood damage reduction in the Upper Connecticut River Watershed. The generator replacement project will require the Contractor to remove the existing diesel generator inside of the Surry Mountain gatehouse and replace with a new diesel generator to be located closer to the project office on Surry Dam Road. In addition to replacing the generator, the Contractor shall relocate the conductors that currently travel overhead to the spillway bridge to an underground conduit (approximately 500). Once the existing conductors reach the spillway bridge, they enter conduit installed below the bridge deck and then continue to the gatehouse on the other side in buried conduit. The design intent is to reuse the existing conduits below the bridge along with the underground conduit that goes into the gatehouse. In the event the Government determines that the existing conduit is not suitable for reuse, the project would also include the replacement of the conduit below the bridge and the underground conduit that connects to the gatehouse. For reference, the spillway bridge is approximately 15 feet wide and 230 feet long and crosses over the Surry Mountain Dam spillway located on Surry Dam Rd. Interested firms should submit a capabilities package to include the following: business classification (i.e. HUBZone, small business, etc.), as well as qualifications and experience in performing the work components stated above. Please include at least two specific examples of the firms experience performing the work requirements stated above. The projects must have been performed within the last seven years. Please indicate the team subcontractor(s) (if any), including their prior experience and qualifications, which will be used to support the offerors effort and their experience must also have been performed within the last seven years. Proof of bonding capability is required. Responses are limited to twenty pages. Responses are due by July 30, 2021. Responses should be emailed to: Kyle.K.Hall@usace.army.mil Phone Contact: (978) 318-8479 Interested firms shall provide the above documentation in email. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this market survey nor return the data provided. This notice is for information purposes only and is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an announcement of a solicitation. The results of this survey will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of this notice. Government Agency URL: www.nae.usace.army.mil Government Agency URL Description: New England District, Corps of Engineers
