Description
Collins Hall (Bldg. 650), requires one hundred and sixty (160) CAC/proximity card readers, eighty (80) IAC EPROM chips, and Root Hall (Bldg. 122) requires one (1) Omnikey USB card reader. The CAC/proximity card readers and EPROM chips will be installed in multiple locations throughout the four (4) floors of Collins Hall (Bldg. 650) and the Omnikey USB card reader will be connected to the ICIDS terminal in room SB 20 of Root Hall (Bldg. 122). The ICIDS system is designed to maintain the proper level of security required by DOD and Army Regulations for the open storage of classified materials and the safety of the employees. All components must be of the same or better quality than the current equipment in place at Collins Hall. IAW AR/DA Pam 190-51 Collins Hall is designated as a MEVA. The ICIDS components are required to provide proper security and access control to the Collins Hall IAW FIPS 201-1, AR 190-51 and DODI 2000.16. The ICIDS are part of the overall Electronic Security System (ESS) which is part of the overall security in depth of Collins Hall. Collins Hall (Bldg. 650), Rooms B047 and B048, requires moving of a Bosch PTZ interior camera from its current location to the other side of the wall which will be built by a separate contract. Also fifteen (15) PIMS to be removed prior to the area renovation and reinstalled once the renovation in that area is completed. Also one (1) BMS will be placed on the rear exit door and ten (10) additional PIMS will be installed above the ceiling and connected to the existing RADC panel. A strike release cable will also need to be pulled from the existing RADC panel to the main entrance doors to activate the door locks that are currently installed.
