Description
SOLICITATION NOTICE: The National Park Service, Interior Regions 3/4/5, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Well Replacement project for the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, MI. Work will consist of providing all labor, materials, tools and other equipment necessary to: 1. Removing the existing pump, wire and drop pipe from existing 6 inch steel well drilled to a depth of approximately 265 feet, cutting the old well casing off 2 foot below grade and grouting old well casing. 2. Drilling new well using 5-inch PVC casing to depth with sufficient supply of safe potable water. 3. Install new appropriately sized submersible pump, 2 inch schedule 40 PVC drop pipe, pump wire from the pump to the building electrical panel, 6 inch by 2 inch spring type bronze pitless adaptor and well cap. New underground electrical will be located in the same trench as the underground water line. 4. Trenching new 2-inch schedule 40 PVC water line from the new well to the building to include final connections. The length of the trench and pipe will depend on location of new well to be anticipated at 120 to 140 feet. The depth of the new line shall be at 6 feet below grade to prevent freezing and coved with 2 inch foam board to fit. 5. State of Michigan well permits required. 6. Required water testing per the state of Michigan to include bacteria and nitrate/nitrite sampling. 7. Perform a 4-hour test pump to provide flow rates of the new well. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Less than $25,000.00 TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by July 2021 with performance to begin in early August 2021. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Alger County, MI will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237110, and the size standard is $39.5 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation. REGISTRATIONS: In order to be awarded a contract, an offeror must have a DUNS number. Also, the offeror must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM), website at http://www.sam.gov, and have completed their Online Representations and Certifications at the time of the solicitation close date once the solicitation is posted.
