Description
Questions for Solicitation 36C25021Q0336 Page 5, Section B.2 Price/Cost Schedule, CLIN 0001 and CLIN 0002 (and associated option year CLINS) describes the installation of a 40-yard compactor. Does this compactor currently exist at 2601 Cold Spring Road, East of Bldg. 5? Yes. If it currently exists, how many hauls and tons were produced for full year 2019 and 2020 from this compactor? Since there is not a CLIN line item for the tonnage, the bidder requires this information to give an accurate cost. 40-yard compactor @ 2601 Cold Springs Road, Ease of Bldg. 5 How many hauls and tons were produced for full year 2019 and 2020 from this compactor. 2019 = 21 hauls & 42.50 tons 2020 = 16 hauls & 57.95 tons If this is a new, non-exiting unit, without any history of hauling, how many tons does the government estimate on a per haul basis? This is an existing unit If this compactor currently exists, the placement of a new compactor should be required of all bidders by the government to ensure the incumbent contractor does not receive preference on this line item as well as ensure a more aesthetic presentation. Noted. Page 5, Section B.2 Price/Cost Schedule, CLIN 0003 asks for the removal of a 40-yard compactor at 1481 W. 10th St. This is not needed, CLINS are removed CLIN 0003, CLIN 1003, CLIN 2003, CLIN 3003 & CLIN 4003 are deleted. Is this compactor owned by the government? SANIPAK Container is owned by the government. The 40 yd cardboard compactor is not. Page 5, Section B.2 Price/Cost Schedule, CLIN 0007 and CLIN 0008 describes the installation of a 40-yard compactor at 1481 W. 10th St. Does this compactor replace the unit removed on CLIN 0003 or were there 2 units prior to this solicitation now going to 1? No, this is the cardboard compactor. How many hauls and tons were produced for full year 2019 and 2020 from this compactor? Since there is not a CLIN line item for the tonnage, the bidder requires this information to give an accurate cost. Compactor (replace with San-I-Pak mid-Oct 2019) 2019 = 59 hauls & 428.43 tons San-I-Pak 2019 = 24 hauls & 174.02 tons San-I-Pak 2020 = 105 hauls & 688.19 tons CLIN 0008 asks for 50 hauls annually, 2 hauls short of weekly service on an annual basis. The industry standard would call for pricing at weekly service, at 52 hauls instead of 50 hauls. This is 52 hauls for CLIN 0007, CLIN 1007, CLIN 2007, CLIN 3007 & CLIN 4007. For more a more consistent and industry standard service schedule, this should be changed to 208 JB (hauls) instead of 200 JB (hauls). Page 6, Section B.2 Price/Cost Schedule, CLIN 0015 and 0016 (and option year CLINS). Confirm the number (quantity) of 8-yard containers requiring 2x per week service for these CLINS.
