- Description
- The Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) on behalf of the Support Ships, Boats, and Craft Program Office (PMS 325), intends to issue a Full and Open Competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) for the design and construction of one (1) Auxiliary Floating Dry Dock Medium (AFDM) under a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The solicitation will include technical data, a production level data package, crew familiarization, wing wall cranes, vehicle bridge design, and vehicle bridge construction. The RFP is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of Fiscal Year FY 2021; this synopsis is provided as an advance notice. The Government anticipates a contract award to be made to a single Offeror who offers the Best Value using trade off procedures. The estimated period of performance is 48 months. The AFDM is intended to be delivered to the Pacific Fleet and operated in the Southwestern United States and shall be designed and built to maximize commercially supportable equipment. The key design characteristics of the AFDM dry dock are attached. Any updates and/or changes for this planned procurement, the posting of the RFP, and any future amendments to the RFP, will appear on Beta.Sam.gov.
