- Description
- Property stream will consist of metallic and non-metallic scrap residue derived from the demilitarization and mutilation processing of property which may consist of, but not limited to, steel and aluminum 30mm, 40mm, 55mm, 105mm expended shell casings and assorted signal flare casings and links expended cartridge/shell casings, links and nose plugs, may contain ferrous attachments and materials including but not limited to dirt, water, stones, storage containers not to exceed 25% of total weight. The DEMIL Codes associated with this property are B, D and Q. Purchaser may also receive approved DEMIL G property with MDAS certificate and DEMIL P property with declassification certificate. Range Residue is property placed on a live fire range that has been fired upon but has been certified as safe through the DoD Material Documented as Safe (MDAS) process. Range Residue property is considered as Material Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) until MDAS/Inert certified. Trained and qualified Government appointed representatives have inspected and certified all material as MDAS. Purchasers are cautioned that articles or substances of a dangerous nature may remain in the property regardless of the care exercised to remove same. The government assumes no liability for damages to property of the purchaser or for personal injury, disability or death of the purchaser, its employees or to any other person arising from or affiliated with the purchase, use or dispositions of this material. The purchaser shall hold the government harmless from any and all such demands, suits, actions, or claims arising from or otherwise relating to the purchase of this material. Weight is tracked and billed by weight tickets and DLA Form 1367 for outbound scrap removed from the location. The Purchaser is responsible for removal and disposal of all scrap, to�include all metallic and non-metallic material including dunnage, trash or refuse resulting from the Demilitarization and Mutilation process at no cost to the Agency. The Area manager will direct all production requirements. The government makes no guarantee on monthly generations of property and monthly generations may fluctuate and vary greatly. Bidders are advised that this information is provided for informational purposes only. Prior year material monthly generations are not predictors of future generations or sales.
