- Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 of the Department of Veterans Affairs is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Inspection, sharpening or replacing instruments- Reusable Medical Equipment for VA New Jersey Health Care System at East Orange VA. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, parts, supplies, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary to accomplish the services. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 811219. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email) and must be received no later than July 09, 2021 at 4:30pm EST. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic category. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 811219. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date, all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. See additional information below: A. Scope of Work: On-site Surgical Instrument Repair Services 1. Contractor shall furnish all parts and labor to accomplish the task of: To inspect, sharpen and perform all steps in the refurbishing process. For all reusable medical equipment (RME) and containers. Provide full-service repair for RME including electrical, re-insulation, sharpening, re-alignment Replace basic instrumentation that cannot be repaired To work on site with same day service To provide a qualified technician that can perform all the above task and services 2. Contractor shall test the functionality of the equipment upon completion of repair. If this is a test for repair, the Test should ensure that damaged parts have been successfully repaired and all functions including, but not limited to those related to repaired parts, are operational. If this is a test for a routine PM service, inspection, etc., then the test should just ensure that the equipment is functioning within the guidelines of the OEM or the applicable standards (OSHA, ASSE, JCAHO, NEFP, etc.). Estimated Period of Performance: 08/16/2021 08/15/2022 with a provisional four (4) option years.
