- Description
- Notice of intent to extend a sole source contract: This synopsis is being issued in accordance with FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Department of the Air Force, Air Education and Training Command (AETC) intends to issue a sole-source award to Lockheed Martin in order to provide training services for Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) Army Navy/Fixed Position Surveillance (AN/FPS) 117 Radar System maintenance program. This acquisition will be awarded using Other than Full and Open Competition procedures citing the authority at 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii).� Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The contractor shall provide CONUS-based Maintenance and Engineering Training services to senior 7-skill level Radar Maintenance and Repair Technicians and Technical Trainers. Training will consist of advanced aspects of AN/FPS-117 radar systems operation, optimization, maintenance, engineering and repair. The following are the lessons that shall be provided to RSAF:� 1. Radar Systems Hardware 2. Radar Systems Operations 3. System Fault Identification and Systems Logs 4. COTS Equipment Install and Configuration 5. System Software Revision 6. System Performance Monitoring 7. Engineering Solutions 8. System Testing 9. MSSR Troubleshooting The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611512 with the size standard of $27.5M. All responsible sources may submit a capability package, which shall be considered by the agency.� Any company who believes itself capable to provide the aforementioned, training services, must submit a capability package in writing. Capability packages must clearly demonstrate that the contractor can provide for all necessary courseware w/pre-approval for foreign disclosure. This Notice is NOT a request for proposal(s) and the Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
