- Description Intent to Sole Source 36C24221Q1107. This is an Intent to Sole Source, this is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to provide information based on this requirement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, Regional Procurement Office - East, on behalf of the Northport VA Medical Center located at 79 Middleville Rd, Northport, NY 11768 intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price sole source award to the Four Points Technology, LLC for the Philips IntelliVue MX550 and MX750 Patient Monitors and accessories. The equipment is for direct replacement of end-of-life Philips monitors as well as new technology compatible and interchangeable only with Philips Healthcare equipment/accessories. Philips Healthcare is the manufacturer of the equipment and software is proprietary. The Northport VAMC supports standardization of medical equipment known to eliminate confusion and reduce medical errors that negatively affect patient care and outcomes. The Northport VAMC anticipates standardizing all such monitoring equipment throughout the facility in the future and the system must offer versatility to be used in a variety of clinical environments. Total number of monitors required as part of the system installation are as follows: ICU/OR/PACU: 19 AL2 MX550 8 Wave Adv. Monitors 7 IntelliVue MX750 patient monitors ED EXPANSION: 20 AL2 MX550 8 Wave Adv. Monitors This sole source award to Four Points Technology, LLC is in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by way of the procedures outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.5. This Sole Source is authorized under FAR subpart 13.106-1(b) - soliciting from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of this contract action deems only one source reasonably available. This is not a request for competitive offers, quotes, or capability statements. No solicitation will be posted as a result of this notice. This Special Notice is being issued for information purpose only. The formal Justification & Approval for this action shall be posted on this site in accordance with FAR Part 6.305(a) within 14 days after final award.
