Description
The Contractor shall design and construct the Aquatic Training Facility for the 7th Special Forces Group at Eglin AFB, FL, including salt water training pool and pool support facility to result in a complete and useable facility including all site work and applicable utilities meeting all the requirements for its intended use, installed to the highest industry standards and the requirements of the Contract Documents. A fully complete and useable system is defined as one that meets the aesthetic and functional properties required by the drawings, specifications, amendments issued prior to receipt of bids/proposals, and modifications issued after award of the contract.� Period of Performance is 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.� � �Statement of Magnitude is Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This project will be designed/constructed to comply with the Federal sustainability requirements as detailed in UFC 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. LEED certification is no longer required. The AF Sustainability Requirements Scoresheet will be used to track and report the initial project compliance status. The diving platform dimensions are the responsibility of the DOR � the drawing do not provide any dimension details. Section 01 10 10, Paragraph 2.2.1.3 states: �Design features that are not specifically covered by these specifications shall be determined by the Pool Designer and must demonstrate adequate safety and water quality can be maintained, based on the proposed current technology and the best information available at the time of design.� And, Paragraph 2.2.2 states: �The Design/Build Contractor's (DBC's) Designer of Record (DOR) is responsible for conducting a complete analysis of the design using all applicable life safety and building codes, UFCs and other applicable requirements referenced in this RFP in order to provide a fully code and regulation compliant final design.� The DBC's DOR shall be solely responsible for interpreting the applicable requirements and providing a code compliant final design approach.�
