Description
This is a pre-solicitation notice. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS),Southeast Area (SEA) facilities in Oxford, MS has a requirement for Repairing Walls and Floors in Building One - 1967 Wing. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote�for a firm fixed priced construction contract. The solicitation is anticipated to be aTotal Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. A brief description of the work required is as follows: Contractor shall remove all flooring down to sub-flooring, abate all associated asbestos, paint all walls, doors, door frames, window frames, install new cove base and install new flooring system per the Project Objectives above.� It is believed that the existing flooring is a composite of tile overlaid with linoleum.� Existing tile and mastic are believed to be asbestos containing materials.� The Contractor shall follow all local, state and federal laws for asbestos abatement. The Contractor is responsible for any permits related to the project. �The Contractor shall transport and dispose of any material containing contaminants regulated by federal, state, or local regulation in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. In accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ�for this requirement, with all relevant documents, on or around July 16, 2021. The soliciation posting and related documents will specify the due date for quotes. It is anticipated the period of performance for this contract will be 150 days aft er receipt of the notice to proceed. This notice does not commit theU.S. Government to contract for these services.
